When I first started reading this book i didn't expect it to be as good as it was, I had heard really good things about it but I was kind of confused for the first part of the book but then I understood what was going on and it all made more sense, and the twist at the end was so unexpected and WOW! I loved and enjoyed this book so mush more than I though I was going to。 When I first started reading this book i didn't expect it to be as good as it was, I had heard really good things about it but I was kind of confused for the first part of the book but then I understood what was going on and it all made more sense, and the twist at the end was so unexpected and WOW! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I read this book in one sitting。 I am completely shattered。 I didn’t know that the ending would be like this。 They died in a fire。 Only Candace survived。 I feel broken and sad。 The book was amazing。 I was completely caught off guard。 I was thinking it was going to end a completely different way than it did。 This is too sad。

The end was totally unpredictable!! Loved it! Loved every part of it!The way the characters were build up! The way the end was revealed。。! I mean i was literally feeling the chills when i was about to start the final chapter and it kind of unraveled on its own and i started to figure out what actually happened before it even began to reveal the truth。。!I would totally recommend this book to every person who likes books because He is in for an unforgettable experience ❤️

This book is quite conflicting for me。 At times I loved the writing, other times i found it confusing and slightly 'excessive'? not sure if thats the right word, not sure。 The whole book is very very 。。。 white。 Not that that is necessarily bad thing, but it is just often glaringly obvious。 I loved the story between Gat and Cadence。 I saw the ending coming a mile away, but I was upset about it anyhow。 I would recommend but I don't think I'd read it again。 This book is quite conflicting for me。 At times I loved the writing, other times i found it confusing and slightly 'excessive'? not sure if thats the right word, not sure。 The whole book is very very 。。。 white。 Not that that is necessarily bad thing, but it is just often glaringly obvious。 I loved the story between Gat and Cadence。 I saw the ending coming a mile away, but I was upset about it anyhow。 I would recommend but I don't think I'd read it again。 。。。more

Not a super big fan of the writing style of this book。 Some of the way the information was presented is confusing due to the overly descriptive metaphors and changing timelines。 It is an ok poolside read but not something I would go back to。 Overall there really isn’t much plot beyond “rich people have hard lives too” Also if writing structure where sentences are broken up oddly or have tons of repetition bother you, avoid this For some reason lines of proseJust startToLook like this。 It irritat Not a super big fan of the writing style of this book。 Some of the way the information was presented is confusing due to the overly descriptive metaphors and changing timelines。 It is an ok poolside read but not something I would go back to。 Overall there really isn’t much plot beyond “rich people have hard lives too” Also if writing structure where sentences are broken up oddly or have tons of repetition bother you, avoid this For some reason lines of proseJust startToLook like this。 It irritated me and added nothing to the book。 。。。more

I honestly don't think it's worth reading。 Although I loved the poetic way of writing and the beautiful sentences, I never really got attached to any of the characters (which is pretty important to me as a reader, but if that's not the case for you, then ignore this) and I honestly thought a lot of them were ignorant assholes a lot of the time。 The story also never really got me, and I was bored a lot of the time because it was very repetitive, you just followed her days on the island with the s I honestly don't think it's worth reading。 Although I loved the poetic way of writing and the beautiful sentences, I never really got attached to any of the characters (which is pretty important to me as a reader, but if that's not the case for you, then ignore this) and I honestly thought a lot of them were ignorant assholes a lot of the time。 The story also never really got me, and I was bored a lot of the time because it was very repetitive, you just followed her days on the island with the same routine the whole time。 But, I kept on reading because people told me the ending (with a plottwist) would be worth it, and also kinda because I do am in love with the style of writing (that's why I still gave it 3 stars)。 Turns out the plottwist wasn't worth it (to me), I hated the way every family member just brushed it off? What the actual fuck? Next to that the ending was only like, ten pages long。 Compared to the 200 boring pages I read before that, it's not worth it。 To finish this long review:I would totally read it if you want a slow book, to just read without having to give it too much thought。 But if you're looking for something that keeps you hooked 'til the last page, then this is definitely not a book for you。 (Keep in mind that I'm also kind of a very picky reader, if the book doesn't have me wondering what's gonna happen next and I don't feel like reading it all in one day, I don't like it ;))I do have to give her compliments for the beautiful writing (!!!), that's the thing that kept me going and, I could've never guessed the ending so the plottwist did it's job。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 My mind is fried。 I stayed up all night crying in frustration for who knows why, pulling up the computer and reading all the analysis of each part, chapter by chapter。 All because of this stupid book。 This stupidly beautiful book。 When I finished, I wanted to tear something apart。 My mind was merely in shreds because of my overworked brain, trying to figure something out what I had already figured out。 They’re dead! All three liars are dead! And that was the most confusing part。 My questions are My mind is fried。 I stayed up all night crying in frustration for who knows why, pulling up the computer and reading all the analysis of each part, chapter by chapter。 All because of this stupid book。 This stupidly beautiful book。 When I finished, I wanted to tear something apart。 My mind was merely in shreds because of my overworked brain, trying to figure something out what I had already figured out。 They’re dead! All three liars are dead! And that was the most confusing part。 My questions are: 1。 𝘏𝘰𝘸 was Cadence imagining the three liars while at summer 17? Was this only happening in her mind or did she really think they were there?2。 I know she used them metaphorically to solve her biggest question, but she knew they were dead, right? Or was she now accepting that they were dead? 3。 Tell me what the title means! Tell me why the group is called The Liars。 I read a snippet of the origin of the name, but why would they base a small scene when they were eight for the whole book? What tremendous impact did it really have? GAH! That’s the biggest issue I have with this。 And maybe my questions will never be answered because that’s how the author intended it to be。 I just can stand the fact that I don’t know something。 Other than those 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘳 things, I thoroughly enjoyed it。 The sweet romance between the two, Gat and Cady is just simply lovely。 Reading the scenes between them, I found it annoying that they kept going back and forth between their relationship。 I had to soon realize that on summer 17, Cadence was only imagining her intimate moments with Gat。 The plot itself is bland。 The biggest plot twist at the end makes up for the lack of build。 And even part of the climax where she planned to start the fire, I was like, “So?” If there wasn’t the shock in there, I wouldn’t be writing this review。 I did like how the author foreshadowed they were dead with no responses via emails。 The ending is sweet and sad, I must admit。 When it finally reveals that she was by herself the whole time, that did shatter my heart。 The things she imagined with the Liars were just a figment of her imagination。 That’s the saddest part。 Now to the characters。 They’re great。 I loved each of the The Liars。 Johnny, the chill one in the group, stereotypically the guy who doesn’t care。 In cadence’s brain, he releases the tension, the forgiving side of her guilt。 On the other hand, Mirren, what a darling。 An annoying one sometimes, but that’s why I like her the best。 She’s wary and cautious。 She voices the fear in Cadence mind。 The wariness part。 The guiltiness of her trauma but forgiving nonetheless。 And then Gat。 An outsider。 He’s at the front of Cadence’s brain and just the helper through her problems。 He reassures her and comforts her。 It’s either between three stars or five stars honestly。 I like the writing style, the fast paste, and love the metaphors, but I feel like something is missing。 There’s a point where I want to sleep or throw my phone across the floor as I write this dragging review。 I’m a child, I’ll give you that。 What am I supposed to think of this heart wrenching book? Maybe I’m 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘱𝘪𝘥? There’s this piece of a puzzle I’m missing。 𝘐 𝘈𝘔 𝘗𝘜𝘡𝘡𝘓𝘌𝘋。 After these rambles of either hating or loving this book, I。。。 can’t tell you anymore。 。。。more

(MAJOR SPOILES)I loved this book。 kinda confused as to the ending。 Was everyone aware Cadence could see them。 I think that they are hallucinations。 as to it is confirmed, but I can't help but dream that the Liars were ghosts。 (MAJOR SPOILES)I loved this book。 kinda confused as to the ending。 Was everyone aware Cadence could see them。 I think that they are hallucinations。 as to it is confirmed, but I can't help but dream that the Liars were ghosts。 。。。more

I thought this book was ok because it wasn't for me and the beginning and ending was gorgeous I wasn't a fan when I was in the middle of the book plus the whole twist in the end wasn't for me (maybe because I'm so stupid I missed the hints) and I don't understand why people cry so much because I didn't even react。 I thought this book was ok because it wasn't for me and the beginning and ending was gorgeous I wasn't a fan when I was in the middle of the book plus the whole twist in the end wasn't for me (maybe because I'm so stupid I missed the hints) and I don't understand why people cry so much because I didn't even react。 。。。more

Honestly kinda disappointed in this book… I had a lot of expectations with this book expecting it to be really good but it ended up being very choppy and somewhat boring。 I did really like the unreliable narrator and the ending left me amazed!

I didn’t love it but I also didn’t hate it。 The ending twist made it worth it。 Great for YA readers!!

I wish I had read this as a teenager, I think I would have been OBSESSED with it。 Anyway。。 The biggest thing about this book, from what people have told me and what I have read in reviews is the twist ending。 I was giddy for a good twist, for my mind to be blown, for something to happen that I didn’t see coming, that I couldn’t have guessed。And then I read the final part of the story, titled ‘Truth’。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 and what happened or what was revealed was exactly what I expected。 So that kinda s I wish I had read this as a teenager, I think I would have been OBSESSED with it。 Anyway。。 The biggest thing about this book, from what people have told me and what I have read in reviews is the twist ending。 I was giddy for a good twist, for my mind to be blown, for something to happen that I didn’t see coming, that I couldn’t have guessed。And then I read the final part of the story, titled ‘Truth’。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 and what happened or what was revealed was exactly what I expected。 So that kinda sucked。 I guess I picked up the hints early on and thought about them too hard? It’s probably bc I read way too many Nancy Drew books growing up。 All in all, it was a decent book, I liked Lockhart’s writing style, and I can understand why this is a well loved book。 It’s definitely a very binge-worth book, I found that I didn’t want to put it down and just see what happens next。 A great book if you’re looking to pull yourself out of a reading slump。 。。。more

Once I started I couldn’t stop。 Around part 4 is when things began to click and you realised what the twist was but I didn’t want to accept it。 Part 5 broke me, I cried for a good 10 minutes!

Odd is the only word that comes to mind。 This book is sad, heartbreaking to the point of shock so you don’t want to believe it, but also kind of beautiful。 Plot twist is crazy。 I thought I had guessed it half way through- I had not。 Did not expect the twist and it is hidden and hinted at throughout the book but they go unnoticed until you reach the last part。 It’s one of those “fuck sake I should have known” books but no one ever knows 🤣
